Who am I? I am a Slice of Life artist and am inspired by the serendipity of nature. The simple things in life are sometimes the most compelling to me.

How do I know what to paint? It's the settings that make me draw a breath and say, "I must paint that." It can be something as simple as a clothesline of laundry, a platter of figs, or a girl and her dog frolicking on a California beach.  Frankly, I obsess about some of the things I see and can't let go of the image until I put them on a canvas.

I paint in my dreams, working out details and challenges, color schemes and composition, or simply indulging in what I have seen and want to paint as soon as I get to my easel in my studio or en plein air.

I would love to tell you about my upcoming shows, thoughts, and works. Message me with any questions and comments using the contact link on this site.

I am very happy to hear from you.
